Our Young Woman of the Year recognises achievements from rising young talent who have shown signficiant contribution and commitment within the business and epitomose the values of WINLPG. This year the Young Woman of the Year Award goes to Luciana Gomez, Research, Development and Innovation Manager, Consigaz, Brazil.

The Field/Technical Groundbreaker Award was inaugurated in 2023 to recognise women who work in the field, or in technical roles, where they have overcome the specific challenges of working in these particular sectors and who can demonstrate success working within an environment where women are significantly under-represented. The inaugural Field/Technical Groundbreaker Award goes to Isadora Dibo Rodrigues da Silva, Production Coordinator, Ultragaz, Brazil.

Let’s hear from our winners

As a proud champion of WINLPG, I am inspired by the growing momentum and passion for advancing gender balance in the liquid gas industry. At SHV Energy, we aim for 25% of our senior leadership positions to be held by women by 2030. Reflecting on my own experience, I believe that further progress will require everyone to play their part. Beyond joining WINLPG, I encourage women and men to work together to raise awareness, to lead by example, and to promote best practices that empower and enable women in the workplace. In this regard, I am delighted to be recognised for my own contributions and congratulate fellow award winner, Julianna Kamaruddin from NGC Energy in Malaysia, for her impressive accomplishments. I look forward to working with colleagues and peers as we continue building a more diverse, inviting and inclusive liquid gas community for all.
Glaura Kartalian
WINLPG Woman of the Year 2023 and Chief Operating Officer, SHV Energy

I am truly honoured to receive the Woman of the Year award from WLPGA. This recognition is a shared achievement, a testament to the collective dedication of the NGC Energy team. I take pride in their hard work and commitment, and I want to emphasise that this award is a reflection of their efforts as much as it is of mine. I am immensely proud of our journey from a pure LPG entity to a dynamic energy company, leveraging our internal engineering capabilities. Over a decade, I've devoted myself to policy reforms and safety initiatives. Moving forward, I believe in fostering collaboration and innovation for a sustainable future in the energy industry. Guided by the principles of integrity and inclusivity, I'm optimistic about the positive impact we can collectively make on the energy landscape. In the words of inspiration, it is not an easy task to build an organisation, especially in the energy industry. However, I see this industry as a broad and enriching career prospect for anyone willing to venture into it. My hope is to inspire the younger generations to explore and venture into the energy world, contributing to the dynamic and promising opportunities it holds.
