A strong commitment: for clean cooking in Africa and India
In Paris, on May 14, 2024, during the Clean Cooking Summit organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA), TotalEnergies announced its ambition to provide access to clean cooking for 100 million people in Africa and India by 2030. To achieve this, TotalEnergies will invest more than $400 million in the development of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) for cooking. Its commitment to sustainable development and universal access to energy makes TotalEnergies a key player in addressing global energy challenges.
In Africa, access to clean cooking solutions is a critical issue for health, dignity, and equality. It directly affects millions of people, exposed to health risks and daily constraints due to using wood or charcoal for cooking.

Participation is by invitation only and reserved for WLGA Industry Council members. To ensure meaningful visibility and influence, participation within each Leadership Partner category is intentionally limited.

The Leadership Partner Programme was created to recognise the companies that are leading the global Liquid Gas industry. Its purpose is to create a higher-value partnership that delivers visibility, influence, and year-round external, strategic engagement. It provides leading companies a visible platform to influence global energy conversations.
Who is eligible to join the WLGA Leadership Partner Programme?
The programme is by invitation and reserved exclusively for WLGA Industry Council members. This ensures Leadership Partners are leading, committed companies seeking to play an active role in advancing the industry while receiving meaningful visibility and engagement.
Is there a limit to the number of WLGA Leadership Partners?
Yes. Participation is intentionally limited, with a maximum of three Leadership Partners per category. This protects visibility, ensures quality engagement, and maintains the programme’s leadership positioning.
How do WLGA Leadership Partners engage across WLGA activities?
Leadership Partners engage across events, strategic meetings, advocacy initiatives, public relations, webinars, awards, and other initiatives aligned with their chosen Leadership Partner category. This enables companies to align their expertise directly with the topics and initiatives most relevant to their strategic priorities.
