WLPGA New Member – Tanzania LPG Association

The WLPGA is delighted to welcome a new member: Tanzania LPG Association

TZLPGA is based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, which is the main Business City within city center along Nnamdi Azikiwe Avenue, Elite Tower Building, Left Wing in the ninth Floor. Six founding members who are LPG importers and marketing formed TZLPGA. These companies operate under the brands of CAM-GAS, O-GAS, LAKE GAS, MANJIS GAS, TAIFA GAS and ORYX GAS. The Association is geared to addressing and providing solutions to various issues in the LPG sector especially those related to working with government in improving policies and laws to nurture LPG consumption growth, formulating and providing capacity building programs and creating discipline in the LPG industry by working closely with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.

‘TZLPGA was formed late 2022 and launched early 2023 and therefore it is quite a new organisation. Given its infancy status, it makes a lot of sense for the Association to join a parent global industry’s Association thus WLPGA. Joining WLPGA, will help TZLPGA to gain exposure quickly in acquiring global best practices and key information access on LPG business, that will cement its footing to promoting growth of LPG consumption in Tanzania. This is in line with its Vision and Government’s Vision on Clean Energy that are demonstrated by TZLPGA’s Strategic objective, which is to increase Tanzania’s LPG per capita consumption from less than 2.5 Kg in 2023 to about 10 Kg by 2033. The government Vision and Strategy is to have 80% of the Tanzanians using clean energy by 2033 where currently is less than 20%.’ Mr Amos J.
