WLGA Statement on LPG Supply
The WLGA, as the global industry body for LPG, is closely monitoring the situation in the Gulf and its implications for global energy supply.
Our immediate concern is the human impact of the conflict. Our thoughts are with all those affected, including communities facing danger, uncertainty and instability.
LPG is a critical energy source for billions of people worldwide, supporting cooking, heating, transport, industry and essential services, particularly in developing and emerging economies where access to affordable modern energy is closely linked to health, livelihoods and economic stability. While current pressures on supply chains and trade routes are creating short-term challenges, the global LPG system remains diverse, flexible and well-established, enabling markets to adjust and continue delivering energy where it is most needed.
The current situation underlines the importance of strong, well-functioning global energy systems and open trade flows. We support conditions that allow the continued flow of energy, which is essential for stability and the wellbeing of communities worldwide.
