WLGA New Member – Tec4Fuels

The WLGA is delighted to welcome Tec4Fuels as a new member.

Tec4Fuels has a long history of working with fuels and their quality. Traditionally working with conventional fuels, Tec4Fuels has developed methods and technologies (i.e. hardware-in-the-loop testing) to analyse and evaluate the performance of fuel candidates on dedicated test benches at its facility. In publicly funded projects such as C3-Mobility or DMEplusX, they have learned and demonstrated the ability to provide reliable evidence of Liquid Gas performance (in particular DME) and its’ impact on durability. Tec4Fuels is involved in LPG and DME standardisation at national and international level. Its Business Unit Manager Engineering, Werner Willems, is the convenor of CEN/TC19/WG23 which is responsible for the definition and development of the European LPG (EN589) standard and is also involved in related LPG and DME committees (DME and Methanol standardisation) worldwide. Tec4Fuels is committed to creating awareness and confidence in sustainable LPG/DME blends for new and existing applications and to supporting the development of new pure DME solutions for transport and heating applications.

“Renewable carbon-based energy carriers such as rLPG and rDME will play a central role in defossilising the transport and heating sectors for new and existing applications. Tec4Fuels has already gained experience, expertise and knowledge of Liquid Gas applications through various investigations and standardisation committees and aims to support LPG and LPG-related products for sustainable future applications as a member of the WLGA.” Dr.-Ing. Werner Willems, Manager Business Unit Engineering and Klaus Lucka, Managing Director, Tec4Fuels
