US: Renewable Liquid Gas storage plant opens in New Hampshire

Palmer Gas & Oil has announced the opening of a renewable Liquid Gas storage facility in the state of New Hampshire. Staff, colleagues and local businesses attended the event to also celebrate National Propane Day.

“This new facility consists of four 45,000-gallon tanks, which, when combined with our plant at 13 Hall Farm Road and our Raymond and Somersworth plants, give us a total of 810,000 gallons of propane storage,” said Palmer Gas & Oil General Manager Peter Iacobucci. “This amounts to the largest amount of fuel storage in southern New Hampshire by an independent company.”

According to Palmer Gas & Oil, they are also the first propane company in southern New Hampshire to utilise renewable Liquid Gas.

“This load of renewable propane marks a bold step forward in how we power our future and represents innovation, sustainability and a shared commitment to cleaner energy,” Iacobucci added. “It is appropriate that we celebrate on National Propane Day, the day that the industry comes together to appreciate the people – the technicians, drivers, engineers, safety experts and countless others – who keep propane safe, available and accessible every single day.”

Leslie Anderson, president and CEO of the Propane Gas Association of New England (PGANE), also commented: “Renewable propane allows us to immediately reduce our carbon footprint without investing in new appliances, heating systems or tanks.”
