The WLGA welcomes Baicou Groupe as a new member.

Headquartered in Abidjan (Yopougon Municipality, Cité Abdoulaye Diallo), Côte d'Ivoire, BAICOU GROUPE is a bulk LPG distribution company. Through a affiliated non-profit association, the organisation delivers targeted assistance to populations in underserved and remote areas by promoting safe adoption and facilitating access to cylinder-packaged LPG.

"We seek to establish strategic partnerships with equipment manufacturers to guide local populations toward reliable and standardised safety accessories, thereby mitigating household Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) accidents, which have reached alarming levels.

We aim to collaborate with Bio-LPG production entities to assess the development potential and viability of this sustainable resource within our national context. We intend to engage with the Autogas Working Group to initiate, structure, and formalise the use of LPG as an automotive fuel, addressing its rapid and unregulated informal expansion.

Furthermore, with the support of the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA), we plan to establish the National LPG Association of Côte d'Ivoire, laying the groundwork for a broader West African sub-regional LPG association.” M. Baikoro Bamori, General Manager, BAICOU Groupe
