Repsol launches new initiative to encourage Autogas adoption in Spain

Repsol and EVO Auto, the brand of the Italian group DR Automobiles, have signed a framework agreement to promote the use of Autogas in Spain through the manufacturer's SUVs. Specifically, customers who buy one of these LPG-powered cars will receive a EUR 100 coupon in Waylet, Repsol's free payment and loyalty application, exclusively for the use of this fuel.

According to this deal, Repsol will also make available to EVO and its dealer network its wide multi-energy offer, which the car brand will adopt based on its needs.

Repsol currently has more than 439 Autogas distribution facilities, out of a total of 928 that offer this green fuel in the country.

Repsol's LPG director, Siridia Berenguer, considered that this alliance with EVO Auto reinforces the group's commitment to Autogas, which she described "as a real alternative for sustainable mobility because it reduces CO2 emissions and local emissions, and allows drivers to save money on fuel without giving up vehicle performance."

"The automotive sector needs all available energy solutions to decarbonise and at Repsol we work to offer our partners a unique multi-energy offer in Spain," she added.

Moreover, EVO Auto's Country Manager Achille Bianchi commented that the new agreement with Repsol reinforces the brand's commitment to "provide the market with sustainable mobility solutions that are alternatives to electric vehicles and that are comfortable and functional for drivers."

"LPG is an example that there are other ways to be sustainable in travel without altering or modifying normal vehicle usage habits," he concluded.
