WLGA New Member – Furukawa Electric
The WLGA is delighted to welcome Furukawa Electric as a new member.
Furukawa Electric has established the purpose of "Composing the core of a brighter world" and operates as a company committed to build a sustainable world and make people’s life safe, peaceful and rewarding. Furukawa Electric is involved in various sectors, including information, mobility, and energy. As a new initiative aimed at achieving carbon neutrality in the energy sector, Furukawa Electric is advancing the demonstration of technology for producing renewable LPG from bio-based resources. This process utilises “Ramune catalyst” developed by leveraging our extensive experience in metals and materials. Furukawa Electric aims to advance further technology development to contribute to the practical application of renewable LPG.
To effectively implement renewable LPG, it is essential to focus not only on technology development and market expansion but also on addressing various new challenges, including the establishment of new standards and infrastructure. However, since Furukawa Electric is not LPG supplier and lacks sufficient knowledge about LPG, Furukawa Electric aim to fill this knowledge gap through co-creation with all members participating in the WLGA, contributing to carbon neutrality in the LPG market. To this end, Furukawa Electric would like to establish new and beneficial partnerships through this WLGA.
