The WLPGA is delighted to welcome a new observer member: Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio)

‘I am a professor and researcher in Air Pollution and Environmental Chemistry. I carried out some scientific studies on the use of firewood for cooking in Brazil and Latin America and Caribe requested by AIGLP and Sindigás. Based on this study, I created this line of research in my laboratory, as I noticed that there is a lack of data in Brazil. These studies aim to guide government officials towards the energy transition to comply with the 2030 Agenda. Therefore, everything I can learn from the WLPGA will be of great value. I became a member of the WLPGA because I am interested in energy transition methods. Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) supports research in the area of energy and hopes that we can develop projects in partnership.'
